Five Minute Management Course

Lesson 1:

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is up her shower, when the doorbell rings.  The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.  When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor.

Before she says a word, Bob says, ‘I’ll give you $800 to drop that towel.’

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.

The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs.  When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, ‘Who was that?’

‘It was Bob the next door neighbor,’ she replies.

‘Great,’ the husband says, ‘did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?’

Moral of the story:

If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, ‘I’ll give each of you just one wish.’

‘Me first! Me first!’ says the admin clerk ‘I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.’

Puff! She’s gone.

‘Me next!  Me next!’ says the sales rep. ‘I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.’

Puff! He’s gone.

‘OK, you’re up,’ the Genie says to the manager.

The manager says, ‘I want those two back in the office after lunch’

Moral of the story:

Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 3

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.   A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, ‘Can I also sit like you and do nothing?’

The eagle answered: ‘Sure, why not.’

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:

To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson 4

A turkey was chatting with a bull.  ’I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree’ sighed the turkey, ‘but I haven’t got the energy.’

‘Well, why don’t you nibble on some of my droppings?’ replied the bull. They’re packed with nutrients.’

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.

Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Moral of the story:

Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won’t keep you there..

Lesson 5

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.  As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was.  The dung was actually thawing him out!

He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.  A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.   Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Morals of the story:

(1) Not everyone who dumps on you is your enemy.

(2) Not everyone who gets you out of a fix is your friend.

(3) And when you’re in deep dodo, it’s best to keep your mouth shut!

What is the Ideal Home Business?

The fatal flaw of the typical home based business is where affiliates and the opportunity is the focus instead of the product and customers. Yes you need all four too.

Far too many people respond to the opportunity only and because the product is not their ‘passion’, they leave quickly because the money never appears fast enough.  Without real, repeat customers, no business ever succeeds.

The two most common models have either repeat sales at pennies per month or one-time sales requiring constant marketing for new customers.

MOST people fail in customer acquisition.   The number of customers is always higher than imagined and the amount of income from each sale is lower.  The typical opportunity does not share that information clearly.

MOST people do not have a customer list and have to build one.  Every home business opportunity I am familiar with comes without one as well.

What would the ideal home business look like? This is my brief topic outline of what I am looking for.

No registration or franchise fees.
Low cost of entry to start the business.
Low monthly overhead.
Ability to work from anywhere.
Offers in demand products of high value.
Support and product fulfillment done for you.
Well-established and reputable company.
All marketing resources provided.
An effective and simple customer acquisition system in place.
Ongoing repeat business from customers.
Simple understandable commission structure.
Ideal is an international presence.
Ability to set and meet all your income goals.
Is something that excites you and others.
Offers both time and financial freedom.

I have never found one that meets all the above requirements. I have found one that requires you be an US citizen that is the best I have ever seen, however. It is a program offering an FDIC insured product that pays daily through your cell phone! Simple and powerful design allows anyone [USA] to do this.

Pull out a pad and pen, call 678-251-4373, and listen to a 15-minute explanation.

When you draw out the explanation it will all be clear. You will know what to do too!

I look forward to talking with you.

Change Your Focus… Change Your Life

You can’t depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. – Mark Twain

If you are not experiencing financial prosperity and every other kind of success, your focus is misplaced!

If you focus is always about what and where you are spending your money, you will always be poor.  Shift your focus to making, keeping and investing your money.  Focus on what you want not on what you don’t want.

If your focus is on what you are earning, you will continue being poor and broke.  Focus on your net worth. To increase your net worth focus on increasing your income, increasing your savings and increasing your investment returns.  Simultaneously decrease your cost of living by simplifying your lifestyle.

Your current focus is likely about you.  As long as you are your focus, nothing will change.  Stop talking to yourself!   Being rich in the truest sense of the word means, you must contribute to other people’s lives.  Focus on other people’s needs and your needs will take care of themselves.

But you can’t focus on things that matter if all you’ve been is asleep for forty years. Funny how sleep rhymes with sheep. You know. – Charlie Sheen

Four Steps to Prosperity

Before you put any plan into action, you have to believe it is possible.   You must place your attention on the traits, strengths and virtues that allow you to believe you can do it.  In the realm of financial prosperity, you have to believe you deserve to rich as well as well as believe you can do what it takes.

Once you belief, and it doesn’t take much to light the fuse, you must commit to having it happen.  Once you devote yourself without any hesitation or reserve the world shifts.  The Universe will assist you, guide you, support you and even create miracles for you.  You have to commit completely first. That takes belief!

Forget comfortable.  Going for “RICH” requires more than comfortable.  If your goal includes comfortable the chances are slim and none you will ever be rich.  If your goal, if you commitment is to be rich there is a very high likelihood you will end up very comfortable.

If you have been playing the victim card you will have to lose it.  Some say stop playing that one card.  The reality is you can be a victim or you can be rich.  You cannot be both.  As long as you blame, justify or complain about anything, you are cutting your financial throat.

Light the fuse! Believe you can.

Thinking Your Way to Freedom

Small mind, small actions and small thinking produces both broke and being unfulfilled.

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. – T. S. Eliot

If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary. – Jim Rohn

Thinking big and taking big actions lead to having both money and meaning.  The choice is yours!

Positive thinking is incomplete.  The most powerful aspect however is you believe your thoughts are true. Power thinking, transformational thinking, recognizes that nothing has meaning [and it has no meaning that it has no meaning] except for the meaning, you give it.   Once you really get this, you see you are making up the story all the time.  You may as well make up a great story that supports you.

I hope I have stretched your thinking a little here.  Your comfort zone is your ‘poor’ zone.  The money zone is just outside where you are comfortable.  Begin being willing to be a little bit uncomfortable and in no time your money zone, your income, will begin growing too.

The Future is Coming

The short video is humorous and uncomfortable.

There is a lot of concern for this year.  The Mayan calendar begins its new cycle 21 December 2012.  There are a lot of things to worry about.  We are running out of easy to find oil, the worlds monetary system is in tatters and appears ready to implode any day.  World food prices are rising and the planets weather is entering a new phase.

This video suggests a different future and that perhaps the standard petty pace the world has been on will continue.  It will be an interesting ride!

Focus and BE Willing!!!

Making the rounds is if you eat the frog first thing every morning everything the rest of the day will be an improvement!   The idea is do the most difficult task, the most important task of your day and the rest will take care of itself.   If you are only willing to do what’s easy eventually everything will be hard!  If you do what is hard eventually everything is easy!  Imagine that!

How do you know what to do?

Perhaps its breaking the difficult into smaller bite size pieces.  Maybe it’s adding extra time to the part that you are resistant to beginning.    Somewhere there is an opportunity in this.   If you look and see difficulty, problems and risk coupled with obstacles that is what you will find.  This sucks the energy out of you and everyone around you!

Focus on opportunities, the learning experience, potential growth and they will appear.  Focus on the rewards and look for the fun and it appears.  Interpretation is key.  Take this course free to see!!!

Five Rules for Getting Rich

Poor people resent successful people, especially rich successful people.  The current disdain for the one percent is a good example.  Whatever you view as bad or wrong in any way will never be something you can accomplish.  If you think, it is wrong, evil or corrupt to be rich.  You will stay poor.

Rule Number ONE:   Admire rich and successful people.  Figure out how or stay poor.

As long as you are paid for your time, you will always be limited in earning power.  To have unlimited earning power discover how to be paid for results instead.  Being paid based on time, which is limited, suggests you need a guarantee and don’t believe in your own abilities.  Once you believe in your value and ability to deliver you can jump to a results based income.

Rule Number TWO:   Get paid for results! Not time.  This produces NO limits on your income.

Everyone who gets paid is paid for solving one kind or another of problems.  Solve them for a profit or for pay but to be paid more, solve more and bigger problems.

Rule Number THREE:  Solve Problems!

Regardless of what you do you are paid in direct proportion to the ‘value’ you deliver to the market.  If you are of little value, you earn little.  Increase your value and your income will increase.

Rule Number FOUR:  Increase Your Value.

Everything is energy. EVERYTHING!  Money especially is energy and big money takes big energy.   Begin now! Get into shape, eat properly and get enough rest.

Rule Number FIVE:  Increase Your Energy.

The Reason to Have Money…

This topic is one of the toughest for people to work through. There are reasons for so many people being poor and it is not what you think or have been taught to believe.

The trouble with having just enough or for many never enough is you never get to make a difference with anyone but yourself. Once you have enough and you have the ability to generate even more it is your duty to do so. Those who have much ability have much to give. Many people who with your help will do the same or even more.

The most difficult part in this process is being a good receiver. There is a lot written about giving and very little that empowers receiving. If you become an excellent receiver, and the poor are not, you have more to give. Worthiness is the issue.

Our stresses, anxieties, pains, and problems arise because we do not see the world, others, or even ourselves as worthy of love. – Prem Prakash

Self-worth comes from one thing — thinking that you are worthy. – Wayne Dyer

Your problem is you are too busy holding on to your unworthiness. – Ram Dass

Worthiness, in very simple terms, means I have found a way to let the Energy reach me, the Energy that is natural, reach me. Worthiness, or unworthiness, is something that is pronounced upon you by you. You are the only one that can deem yourself worthy or unworthy. You are the only one who can love yourself into a state of allowing, or hate yourself in a state of disallowing. There is not something wrong with you, nor is there something wrong with one who is not loving you. You are all just, in the moment, practicing the art of not allowing, or the art of resisting. – Abraham Hicks

Asking is the beginning of receiving. Make sure you don’t go to the ocean with a teaspoon. At least take a bucket so the kids won’t laugh at you. – Jim Rohn

Giving is better than receiving because giving starts the receiving process. – Jim Rohn

Gracious acceptance is an art – an art which most never bother to cultivate. We think that we have to learn how to give, but we forget about accepting things, which can be much harder than giving… Accepting another person’s gift is allowing to express his feelings for you. – Alexander McCall Smith

It takes great generosity to accept generosity. – Merle Shain

If my hands are fully occupied in holding on to something, I can neither give nor receive. – Dorothee Solle

Everything in life is most fundamentally a gift. And you receive it best and you live it best by holding it with very open hands. – Leo O’Donovan

“It’s better to give than to receive.” Let me put this as elegantly as possible: “What a crock!” That statement is total hogwash, and in case you haven’t noticed, it’s usually propagated by people and groups who want you to give and them to receive. The whole idea is ludicrous. What’s better, hot or cold, big or small, left or right, in or out? Giving and receiving are two sides of the same coin. Whoever decided that it is better to give than to receive was simply bad at math. For every giver there must be a receiver, and for every receiver there must be a giver. – T Harv Eker

The ability to give is much better than the need to receive.
